王郁洋 Wang Yuyang

 

王郁洋出生于1979年,曾经就读于中央美院附中、中央戏剧学院、中央美术学院,现任教于中央美院实验艺术系并在北京居住和创作。王郁洋虽然使用新兴媒介进行创作,却从不强调技术的新奇。他似乎更感兴趣于“过时”的技术、“破坏”美学及物质浪费带来的艺术性。他的作品涉及各种媒介,并充分拓展其内在潜力。他以幽默的、虚构奇观的方式来探究和表述人的身体、经验及认知之间的关系,探讨人造现实、媒体、历史感知与身体认同之间的关系。他的作品在中国及欧洲的主要展览和艺术节上均有展出。

WANG Yuyang was born in 1979. He studied at the China Central Academy of Drama and the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has taught at the School of Experiment Art at the Central Academy of Fine Arts since 2008 and lives and works in Beijing. WANG Yuyang creates works using emergent media but does not deliberately emphasize the novelty of technology. He is more interested in the artistry brought about by “outdated” technology, “destructive” aesthetics and material waste. His work has employed all possible media. He uses humor, fiction and spectacles to explore and reflect upon the relationship between the human body, experience and cognition. At the same time he also investigates the relationship between artificial reality, media technology and historical perception. His work has been shown in major exhibitions and art festivals in China, Europe and the United States.

杜曦云 Du Xiyun

杜曦云,策展人。1978年生,2000年毕业于陕西师范大学美术学院油画系,获学士学位。2006年毕业于四川美术学院美术史系,获硕士学位。对视觉作品敏锐准确的判断力,对历史和社会背景的重视,是他的鲜明特点。他策划了很多大型当代艺术展,并有很多犀利的文章广为传播。曾主编过《美术焦点》、《艺术时代》等专业刊物,也曾发起和组织备受瞩目的“中国当代艺术金棕榈·金酸莓评奖”,近年来还担任《成都商报》艺术专栏主笔、《中外对话》的艺术撰稿人等。他强调在国际视野、当代文明的背景中判断中国当代艺术,在政治经济学的框架中界定文化。

Du Xiyun, a famous curator. Born in 1978.Graduated in 2000 from Oil Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shaanxi Normal University with Bachelor’s degree,graduated in 2006 from Art History Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with MA degree.
A keen, accurate eye for visual artwork and the emphasis on historical and societal background are his distinctive characteristics. He has curated numerous large contemporary art exhibitions and many trenchant articles which have been widely disseminated. Not only was he previously in charge of professional magazines such as Art Focus, ARTTIME, but he also initiated and organized the “Chinese Contemporary Art: Golden Palm · Golden Razzies Awards”. In recent years, Mr. Du also serves as the chief writer of the art column of Chengdu Business Daily and is a contributor of China Dialogue.
He pays attention to evaluating Chinese contemporary art in the context of global vision and modern civilization, as well as defining culture in the framework of political economy.

“萌系大叔”是由艺术家宗剑领导的自媒体小组创造的虚拟形象。宗剑1976年出生于江苏,先后就读于无锡轻工大学设计系、南京艺术学院油画专业,获学士学位。2014年创办公众微信“Atrspace-艺术汇”,并开始用“萌系大叔”的网名撰写《萌叔教你搞艺术》系列、《萌叔教你看懂当代艺术》系列,立志把当代艺术推荐给更广泛的受众。

摄影术的出现,把画家生产图像的特权,让手持相机的人们共享。但很长时间内,相机价格昂贵,能拥有相机,本身就是特权。数码相机的出现和普及,让生产图像的成本越来越低,摄影家生产图像的特权,被手持数码相机的人们共享,人人都可以做摄影师。互联网,尤其是移动互联网的出现和普及,把传统媒体传播信息的特权,让使用互联网的人们共享,人人都可以有媒体平台。

以民主精神为内核的这些科技发明,让每个使用者平等的享有拍摄和传播的权利。人人都是摄影师,已经是事实。今天的日常生活中,每个人都几乎随时随地在拍照,表现各自的视角和对生活、图像的理解。
